This paper presents a literature review on the treatment of post-radiation tissue defects in the frontal region. The pathological changes which are difficult to treat are also responsible for pain, aesthetic issues and a lowered quality of life. The article discusses a case of complicated surgical treatment of the necrotic defect in the frontal soft tissues and bone based on a reconstruction with a polypropylene CODUBIX prosthesis covered with a free latissimus dorsi flap with microabastomosis and free skin grafts. The excellent final result shows the possibilities of complex reconstruction combining microsurgical techniques, free skin grafting and alloplastic materials.
