The paper presents the case of a 67-year-old patient in whom the presence of subgingival calculus led to the formation of a lesion on the gum in the area of tooth 33. The patient came to the clinic because of a visible defect on the gingiva. There were no pain complaints in the interview, and the clinical examination revealed no pain on percussion. Additionally, there were no changes on the panoramic X-ray, CBCT examination showed abundant deposits of subgingival calculus. A decision was made to perform scaling, open curettage and gingivoplasty. The healing process was normal.
